Dr Steve and Jennifer Cooper started practicing dentistry in Ormond Beach in 1989. Thirty four years later we still want to let our Family treat your family.
Our Doctors
Adam Tow, DMD
Dr. Tow is a General Dentist with a passion for dentoalveolar surgery, oral medicine and prosthetics. He graduated from the University of Florida with high honors in research where he also has a courtesy appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Tow completed a General Practice Residency at Kings County Hospital, where he treated a wide variety of cases ranging from dental implants to orthodontics, and served as a member of the hospital facial trauma team. Dr. Tow also earned an MBA “with distinction” from Cornell University. His academic and professional work has been the subject of numerous publications and patents in a variety of disciplines, including biomedical engineering, business, and dental medicine. Dr. Tow is passionate about continuing his education and is constantly participating in advanced courses. He is also a member of several professional societies in dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys woodworking, skiing and spending time with family. Dr. Tow believes that laughter is the best medicine and strives to create an atmosphere of positivity and open communication for his patients.
Ankit Parikh, DMD
Dr. Ankit Parikh graduated from Roseman University with his Doctor of Dental Medicine. As an ever-growing practitioner, he is always seeking the next step to provide advanced and ethically beneficial care to all his patients. Dr. Parikh is actively pursuing advanced training in Invisalign clear aligners and implant placement as well as restoration.
When not in the office, Dr. Parikh enjoys exploring the outdoors via mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, and staying physically active in general. He enjoys spending personal time traveling with friends and family to new destinations, including simple trail rides!

Cassie Simon
PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR
Cassie’s career in the dental industry with Cooper Dental Group in 2011. Born in Atlanta, GA , she moved to Ormond Beach, FL in 1995.
Cassie has two beautiful children, Aubree and Jackson. She and her children enjoy being involved with their church, Salty Church in Ormond Beach, FL, for the last several years, and Cassie also serves in the ministry. Cassie loves going to the beach, and spending time with her family. Her sisters and mom continue to be a huge support of her career goals in the dental field!
When we asked Cassie what her favorite thing about working with us is, she said she loves her patients, and loves working alongside our wonderful staff!
Crystal Lakin
CLINICAL TEAM LEADER
Crystal went to Greater Orlando Assisting School, and has been with Cooper Dental Group since 2013. She is a native of Central Florida, and has two children, Brandon and Crystal.
Crystal loves to run and enjoys participating in half marathons and spending time with her teacup yorkie. Crystal’s favorite thing about working at Cooper Dental Group is helping others feel good about their smile!
Crystal Koenke Case
BUISNESS TEAM LEADER
Crystal is a Certified Dental Assistant and has been with Cooper Dental Group since 2013. She was born and raised in Daytona Beach and was a gatorette at the University of Florida.
Crystal has a daughter who loves gymnastics, dance, and competitive baton. They also enjoy going out on the boat and four wheeling!
When we asked Crystal what her favorite thing is about working with us, she said she loves to smile, and she is passionate about helping others to love their own smile as well!
Jill Hettel
HYGIENE TEAM LEADER, RDH
Jill Hettel has been in the dental field for over 35 years. She worked for a local periodontist for 23 years where she learned to help patients with gum disease and bone loss issues. She graduated from Florida Community College in Jacksonville in 1990 with an R.D.H. degree.
When asked why she became a hygienist her answer was that she wanted to participate in helping patients maintain good oral health. She enjoys working individually with patients to educate and motivate them to meet their dental needs, and she likes getting to know each one of her patients personally.
Jill has been married to David since 1994. She has a son, Christian, and two dogs, Roka and Chloe. She’s very passionate about helping people in need and volunteering her time in the community. Jill loves to travel and spend time at the beach.
Kelly Koehler
RDH
Kelly Koehler has worked in the dental field for 20+ years. She graduated from Daytona State College in 2002 with an R.D.H. degree. Kelly has been with Cooper Dental Group since 2007.
When asked why she became a hygienist, her answer was that she wanted to work in a profession that she would be able to help and educate people about their oral health. She loves the one-on-one relationship that she makes with each of her patients.
Kelly has 2 rescue dogs whom she loves dearly, they are her fur-babies! Kelly has been married to her husband Tommy. She enjoys boating and spending time with friends.
Melissa Miller
RDH
Melissa Miller has worked in the dental field for over 30 years. She graduated from Florida Community College in 1990 with an R.D.H. degree. Melissa has been with Cooper Dental Group since 2012.
When asked why she became a hygienist, her answer was that when she went to the dentist as a child, it was always a positive experience, and she wanted to help other people feel the same way.
Melissa is married to Jay, and they have 2 daughters, Malia and Kylee. They also have 3 cats and a dog. She loves to travel, going to the beach and anything water related.
Kim Klem
RDH
Kimberly Klem has been a dental hygienist with Cooper Dental Group since 2015. She has been in the dental field for 25 years starting off at the front desk before going on to become a dental assistant. Having a love for dental hygiene she went to school and graduated from Daytona State and has been a hygienist for over 15 years.
Kim is married and has 4 daughters and 5 grandchildren. She is a native Floridian currently living in New Smyrna Beach.
Kim loves being a dental hygienist and is looking forward to many more years of making happy and healthy smiles!
Jessica James
RDH
Jessica James started her career as a dental assistant in 2011. She then went on to pursue dental hygiene, and graduated in 2015 from Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario.
Jessica was born and raised in Ottawa Ontario Canada, and moved to Port Orange Florida in 2019 where she currently resides with her husband.
Jessica wanted to be a Dental Hygienist ever since she was a little girl. She always loved getting her teeth cleaned, and always had a positive experience. She wanted her patients to feel that same way!
In her spare time, she enjoys working out, spending time with her dog Peanut, going to Disney with her husband and doing anything outdoors!
